How it all started...
Wild Adventures under Suffolk's Skies is the brainchild of Monika Koch, designer and environmentalist, who had the vision to develop a concept for cultural and wildlife events tourism that is individual, high-quality and, above all, fun and adventure. What started with exclusive photography events on Suffolk's only island, guided by acclaimed wildlife and landscape photographers, quickly developed into a portfolio that, now also includes walks discovering the sounds of nature or the architectural gems of Thorpeness – and exciting events in other European countries and possibly Upstate New York are in preparation too... so watch this space and subscribe to our MailChimp Newsletter!
Recognition came fast: the events that Monika produced on Havergate Island were singled out by Visit England's '101 Things To Do in England' in 2013, as one of only two things to do in Suffolk, and we are excited to share that, most recently, our work has been featured in Metro, the East Anglian Daily Times and The Guardian.
But then as now, conservation, wildlife and other fascinating animals are at the heart of what we do, and their welfare is paramount to us; a substantial part of the income generated, therefore, goes back into wildlife conservation or helps protect the future of rare breed animals.
We pride ourselves of a fuss-free, truly individual experience and we hope that, perhaps, we will have the privilege of adding one of our events to your very personal list of adventures.
